Joseph Willms joined Woods Aitken in 2020 after clerking at the firm for two years. He is a member of the firm’s labor and employment practice group.
Joe provides counseling and representation to public and private employers on a wide range of labor and employment law matters. Joe helps clients with Family and Medical Leave Act issues, Americans with Disabilities Act issues, employment contracts, employment discrimination claims and investigations, retaliation claims, wage and hour regulations, drug and alcohol testing, hiring and screening, terminations, employee benefits, and employment handbooks. He also conducts training for clients on a broad range of topics.
Joe received his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law. During law school, Joe was the executive editor of the Creighton Law Review, received the Donald P. Lay Law Review Award, and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Legal Research. Joe earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in International Studies.
