Amanda Landaverde is a member of the firm's litigation group and concentrates her practice in the areas of construction law, commercial litigation, and representing plaintiffs in personal injury disputes.
Amanda combines a strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to her clients' interests. As part of her unique practice, she represents general contractors and subcontractors on a variety of construction-related matters, and advocates for clients navigating personal injury claims during some of life's most difficult moments. She is passionate about making legal arguments on behalf of her clients and acquiring justice when they have been wronged.
Amanda graduated with highest distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law and was named to the Order of the Coif. During law school, she clerked at Woods Aitken for two years and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John M. Gerrard of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska. Amanda was articles editor of the Nebraska Law Review and president of the Federal Bar Association student chapter. She received numerous awards, including the Nebraska State Bar Foundation's Silver Quill Award, Excellence in Legal Writing Award, and multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. Upon graduation, Amanda served as a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Susan M. Bazis of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska before returning to Woods Aitken as an attorney.

Experience
Amanda's experience includes having represented the following:
- Clients facing defamation suits through the law school’s First Amendment clinic as a student attorney
- Residential tenants facing eviction as a certified law student volunteer through the Tenant Assistance Project
Amanda gained invaluable litigation experience during her tenure as a law clerk in federal judicial chambers, which included advising the judge in:
- Six federal trials, five of which were jury trials
- Dispositive motions in civil cases
- Daubert motions and motions in limine in civil cases
- Objections to Magistrate Judge’s Findings and Recommendations in discovery disputes
- Motions for temporary protective orders for trade secrets
- Class action settlement class approvals
Beyond the Law
Amanda enjoys cooking dinner with her family and international travel. She and her husband recently welcomed their son into the world, and they hope that when he grows up, he loves food and travel too.
