Wednesdays with Woods Aitken: Discussing Your Workplace Issues

Team in the workplace
-

Woods Aitken’s Labor & Employment attorneys host a highly engaging and practical interactive discussion about common workplace issues, developments in labor and employment laws, and human resource management topics. Participants are asked to collaborate and explore practical approaches to addressing complicated legal challenges. These monthly informal discussions will take place as a Zoom virtual meeting and participation is highly encouraged.  Discussions will be beneficial for business owners, in-house counsel, managers, and human resource professionals who deal with HR and personnel issues on a routine basis.  Programs will occur on the third Wednesday of every month.

Winter Woes: Strategies for Safe Celebrations and Winter Weather
As the chill of winter approaches, it’s crucial for employers to gear up for the season’s unique challenges—inclement weather and holiday festivities. Here’s how to plan ahead:

  • Weathering the Storm: Understand your legal obligations during adverse weather conditions and establish clear policies on remote work, pay during closures, and ensuring employee safety.
  • Festive and Safe Celebrations: Holiday parties can create camaraderie but also come with potential legal risks. Learn how to handle issues related to harassment, discrimination, and safety to keep the celebrations joyful and compliant.

Get ready to embrace winter with confidence and cheer!

This is the final Wednesdays with Woods Aitken program in 2024.  Please join us for our Labor & Employment Law Seminar on November 13!
