Emily P. Obert

Emily Obert is an attorney with Woods Aitken and a member of the firm's labor and employment practice group. She advises public and private employers on day-to-day labor and employment issues, including hiring, discipline, terminations, leave, wage-hour, and policy compliance, with a focus on preventative advice and counseling. Emily also drafts and reviews employment agreements, handbooks, policies, and separation agreements. She takes a business-minded approach and provides direct, actionable advice tailored to each client's goals.

Emily earned her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law with a concentration in employment law. During law school, she served as vice president of the transactional law and finance club. She also served as an Inclusive Leadership Fellow, guiding first-year students through the college's program for developing leaders who advance justice, solve problems, and serve with integrity. Emily served as a law clerk with Woods Aitken before joining the firm as an attorney.
