Ellen Kreifels serves in a general counsel and regulatory role to public power districts, advising on a broad range of legal matters including real estate transactions, policies, contracts, personnel issues, and all matters related to corporate governance. She works closely with public power entities, local organizations, landowners, and other stakeholders on issues involving energy, natural resources, and shared community interests. Her practice includes advising clients on regulatory changes, participating in public processes, and supporting informed decision-making. Ellen has also participated in state legislative committee hearings on issues involving rural electric associations and community services, sharing client perspectives. She brings careful listening and practical problem-solving to her work.
In addition, Ellen focuses her practice on general agribusiness matters, representing landowners and agricultural clients in real estate transactions, zoning matters, and boundary disputes.
Ellen earned a J.D. from the Nebraska College of Law and an M.S. in Natural Resource Sciences from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She received a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Kansas.
