Keith A. Prettyman, CLU, ChFC

Keith has joined Woods & Aitken after nearly 30 years practicing insurance law as general counsel and most recently as a division vice president for a major midwestern insurance company. In assuming his position as Of Counsel, Keith has returned to the Firm where he began his legal career as a law clerk in 1974. Today, Keith brings to the Firm and his clients a practical understanding of legal and business issues concerning the insurance industry, and in particular, the life insurance industry.

As a former insurance company general counsel, Keith offers his clients real world skill in navigating the ever changing regulatory and compliance climate that challenges insurance companies and financial services organizations today. His legal knowledge is tempered by his deep belief in the value of insurance and financial planning as ways to provide financial security to families, and as a tool to help one generation keep its promise to the next.

Keith's belief in the insurance industry, the legal profession and his community are exemplified not only by the associations he has made with each, but by the leadership positions that have helped him earn the high esteem he enjoys today.
